Down syndrome has been the least funded major genetic disorder as of 2001, despite being the most frequent chromosomal disorder. This says a lot about the neglect society has placed towards these individuals and translates to the urgency of representing them.
Arts for Care has utilized volunteer experience to develop art psychotherapy programs tailored to the development of these individuals. Through these programs, we hope to spread the message of how capable these individuals are, empower them, and open up doors opportunities.
